My Kansai Gaidai Student Exchange

This here is the things to do… in Japan page — also known as the T2D List.
Righto, so the concept is simple; going to Japan next year on a student exchange and I’ve got a bunch of stuff that I want to do.

With the help of my buddy Jace we’re going to nail down onto this page, the stuff we want to achieve whilst in the land of Japan. We will stop adding to this list when we leave the shores of Australia, and WILL NOT return until everything has been completed!

Go to Tokyo
Visit the Tottori Sand Dunes and deface them
Visit Nara
Visit Kyoto
Go to an arcade
Challenge a local to Dance Dance Revolution
Go Skiing and/or Snowboarding
Sleep in a capsule hotel
Sleep in the park near dorms with makeshift tent
Get drunk on the flight to Japan (6 hour flight)
Stay at the Park Hyatt hotel in Tokyo for a night
Drink at an ‘all you can drink’ place
Survive 3 days only off vending machines
Speak only Japanese for an entire day
Win a slap bet, against any opponent
Eat some Natto
Buy a pink bike and ride it all semester
Try to run an English lecture
Convince someone we’ve rode Kangaroos before
Talk like Steve Irwin for a Day
Wear as much clothing as possible to Uni – claiming it’s really cold
Visit Hiroshima
Eat Fugu (Puffer Fish)
Go to a J-Pop concert
Go to a Sumo Event
Do Karaoke
Ghosting (Click Here for More Info on Ghosting)
Clean a random car’s windscreen and get paid for it
Get awesumo Japanese hair-do’s
Approachable Challenge
Dress up as Ninja’s (plastic swords required)

Stay tuned for periodical updates. Myself and Jace have to agree on items that go on the official list before they can be listed to avoid setting ourselves anything too ambitious that leaves us stuck in Japan which admittedly wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
